Digi-AdServices Deploys Digital Signage Network At Commonwealth Biomedical Research.
Digi-AdServices has deployed a digital signage network at Commonwealth Biomedical Research in Madisonville, KY. The network of high definition digital signs is being used for the purpose of volunteer patient recruitment in support of ongoing clinical research trials. In addition to patient recruitment, the digital sign network is used to provide health information and tips for a healthier lifestyle to the waiting room of the colocated private family physician medical practice.
"The screens have been very helpful in our patient recruitment efforts and we have seen a definite boost in the number of people inquiring about participation in our medical research studies" said Dr. Bret A. Wittmer, the facility's medical director. He went on to say "recruitment of patient volunteers can be a challenge but with the use of digital signage we are able to convey much more information about what a clinical study is, how they operate and how they and people in general can benefit."
A physician's waiting room is not the most desireable place to be and digital signage can be used to provide health information and tips for a healther lifestyle to an audience that is looking for something to keep them occupied. By providing healthy living tips they are hoping to improve the quality of life of patients while educating them on potential health problems resulting from unhealthy lifestyle choices.
Initial trends have shown a very favorable response to the digital signs with an increase in the number of inquiries from people about clinical research studies as well as an increase in questions for physicians and nurses when in the exam room. As digital signage accpetance continues to grow the number of signs in health facilities will continue to grow and everyone from the medical staff to patients will see a positive benefit.
